This week, and the possibilities it brings.
Leaving for Albuquerque in about an hour, maybe a little more.
Leaving during the hottest part of the day used to annoy me in the old jeep, mostly because running the AC made everything more annoying… but in the new one, the AC on medium makes the inside so cold that I wear a pullover… even with the temperature 100 degrees outside.
Nothing like a car with a GOOD AC in the desert.
Got a full tank of gas, and the jeep is freshly washed… which makes the new paint on the lower part look pretty good.
I’ve got a list of stuff that has to be done this week, which is why i’ll be down for the entire week rather then a few days.
Since the banks are closed today, (rawr) i’m going to have to wait till tomorrow to deposit/cash the checks that have stacked up at work, but eh.
I know I have several hundred dollars from NCR, about 150 from another client… 190 pending from the apartment people… although i’m not counting on it being there, because they’re stupid idiots, and i’m probably going to have to take them to court to get that contract paid, and, with luck, i’ll have the newest paycheck from the sandia project… Actually, no, i’m positive its there, they tend to pay me early rather then late.
For the third month in a row, i’ve managed to make the $830 that it takes to pay and cover all my bills and expenses without outside help, so i’m pretty happy about that. Of course, i’m still working extremely part time, in an effort to balance my health and everything else.
Tuesday, i must soup. I havent gone to see Corey at work since the week before i came down, and that was the week of the fire. Perhaps i may or may not soup alone, so that possibility makes me grin in anticipation.
Wednesday night, i’m seriously considering spending the night up in the mountains… havent actually spent the whole night up there in quite a while… i guess every time i’ve wanted to do it, i’ve pretty much talked myself out of it. So this time, i’m going to put it on my schedule… and if I can talk someone into coming with me, so much the better… duno who though. First choice is probably a no. (and since this is going to be posted on both my blog and on myspace… therefore she’ll read it, i’m sticking my tounge out at her :-p)
Theres a couple of other things i’ve got to do this week, one of them involves dennys. Another of them involves cookie dough. And still a third may require me running up to Santa Fe.
I need to meet the guy with the house that I’m thinking I want to move into, get some bills paid like rent, storage, and insurance. I need to get some information from a company that does wheel chair lift conversions for vans.
Gotta get some paperwork done for Zach… actually have to see if i can get him BACK to Lovelace, because apparently, if he’s covered by them, he has access to hospitals in El Paso and Las Cruces. Plus I need a new copy of his shot records and birth certificate, because my mother didnt get my copies back from the doctor down here, and i’m pretty sure I had both before that appointment.
Got to pick up the packages waiting for me at the mailbox, including a massively rugged case for the blackberry for when i’m doing the kind of work that kills phones…
Oh, and I need to get another application for OMI ready, because Bekah is writing a letter to her boss that basically says “we need to hire this guy as a part time field investigator, or he’ll eat my strawberries”
Speaking of strawberries… i miss eating at Mannies, so that’ll happen several times this week.
And last… I need to launder my medic pants. Thats random, but eh.
