2. December 2007 by [JP].
I saw my neighbor today, shes 2 years older then me, and has 3 kids.
I told her zach was crawling, and she said she forgot to tell me to appreciate him lots when he actually stays where you put him. LOL.
Man, he’s crawling everywhere. It used to be, in the family room, which has carpet, that he wouldnt leave the carpet. He’d go to the edge and hit his hand on the wood floor, but not actually crawl on it. Now, he doesnt care. He’ll go from the carpet, to the wood floor of the dining room, to the tile of the kitchen.
In my old bedroom, which has vinyl tiles, he’ll scoot everywhere. Theres a single small step to leave the room, and he’s figured out how to go up it, and into the kitchen, so he’ll crawl from room to room.
I think its time to get him a walker, because if he has something to hold onto, he’ll walk sideways like in his playpen, or crib, or along the side of the couch.
My mom insists on keeping socks on him, so he’s having problems standing up and walking in the kitchen on the slick floor. I take the socks off, but his feet get cold.
I need to get him some shoes or sandels or something.
He signs “milk” in sign language when he’s drinking a bottle, and i’ve gotten him to start waving byebye when he’s going to bed, or someone is leaving and waving to him.
He says dadadada alot, and he’s working on dah! for the dog. He says nanananana with my mom and aunt, and mamamama when he wants my phone because he knows tomi is on the other end of the phone.
He’s really vocal now and we’re working on words.
He has a toy remote control that speaks to him in three languages, so we’re trying to get him to play with that more… although he likes real remote controls better.
Same with phones. He likes the real thing more then toys.
He has alot of my mannerisms, he’s really curious, he understands that if you take something away, he watches to see where you put it, and tries to get it, even if its hidden. He even sticks his tounge out when he’s concentrating on something just like i do.
He has three teeth now, two bottoms and one on top. They’re barely coming out of his gums, but they’re there.
